Herbster
A small town with expansive views of Lake Superior, Herbster's main attraction is a long, sandy beach with playgrounds, camp sites, hookups and docks. On the south shore of Lake Superior Circle Tour, the village of Herbster hosts travelers from throughout the Midwest, with two bar and dining favorites serving home-cooked food at small-town prices, two small motels and a bed & breakfast facility to accommodate visitors.

Local crafts-people include weavers and potters, with handcrafted gifts and souvenirs, and a local sawmill where visitors can watch this old-fashioned operation. Located near the mouth of the Cranberry River, this quiet, rural community welcomes visitors, who can enjoy fishing on the Cranberry River, camping along the shore of Lake Superior and driving along the Lenawee Rustic Road. Enjoy exploring, hunting & berry-picking in the nearby Chequamegon National Forest.
